Ok, so what do we really do at the Organization for the Advancement of Facial Hair?
During meetings, we discuss the nature of facial hair, why it grows on some and not on others, how it grows, what you can do with it, its advantages and disadvantages, how to maintain it, and many other related issues. In future meetings, we plan to have many guest speakers. We will also start to set aside some time each meeting for a problem-solving session during which we will discuss each other's personal issues and facial hair related problems. In planning are field trips we may wish to attend to further our knowledge of facial hair. We are proud of our program as it is the first of its kind in this area and possibly in the entire world!
On Monday, December 16, 1996, we were fortunate enough to have our first guest speaker, the honorable Mr. Richard Mozzini. Mr. Mozzini discussed with us his life with his beard, how it affected employment opportunities, whether it psychologically affected him or others around him, how often, how, and why he maintains it, and how his life might be affected if he were to shave it. Being the first and a very good speaker for the OAFH, we were both moved and enlightened by Mr. Mozzini's visit.
We hope to have him speak again in the near future.
